November 1, 2009 By Thomas FloydSpecial to The Gazette Saturday, October 31, 2009; 8:10 PM After his team clinched a playoff berth with a 34-0 win against Laurel last week, Suitland High School football coach Ed Shields feared the Rams would lose focus against 3-5 Parkdale on Saturday. With Suitland holding a 13-6 lead at halftime, Shields' fears appeared to be well-founded. But the Suitland team that County 4A League opponents have come to recognize as one of the area's best broke the game open in the second half, ultimately moving to 8-1 with a 39-6 win.
